According to Polk County Fire Rescue, firefighters responded to the scene of the derailment around 1:50 a.m., when the crew noticed several of the train's cars were "rolled over and mangled". Molten sulfur is used to make rubber, detergent and fertilizer, among other products. The cause of the derailment was still under investigation Monday.
