Luton chief Nathan Jones has a sneaking suspicion that England will go on and win the World Cup this year.

The title of the song is a reference to the emblem of England's national football team.

'This has been an incredible #WorldCup run and we've enjoyed every minute.

"But I think it's time we knock it off the number one spot with Three Lions", he said.

With Gareth Southgate and his England football team heading towards their inevitable football World Cup destiny and Britain going absolutely mad for it, these "It's coming home" memes have been fueling the Three Lions fire...

He said: "Thanks to you lovely people, Shotgun has been number one for two weeks running".

Currently, N'zonzi is in Russian Federation , representing France as they face Belgium in the semi-finals. In his six seasons in England, N'zonzi made 216 appearances but failed to lift trophies in the period.

The lyric is from the song Three Lions which was released in 1996 to mark England's participation in that year's European Championships, held in England.

Frank Skinner was among the celebrities sharing their hopes and excitement ahead of England's World Cup game against Sweden.

Though the song is more than 20 years old, United Kingdom soccer fans still use "It's coming home" as a rallying cry, echoing through stadiums and social media networks alike.

Even England's players have got in on the act, with Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard sharing the contents of his phone conversation with his mother.

'You wanted to make history @England and you are doing just that, ' he wrote. Before England's game against Belgium last week I heard it played, sung and screamed three dozen times; in the hours afterward, I heard it performed at karaoke.

"Sometimes it's hard to break a team down, so if you win 1-0, if they had won the game 1-0 (against Colombia), it wasn't a classic in any way".

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
