Throughout his athletic career, Daniel Cormier was always one of the best.

It happened in wrestling against the likes of Cael Sanderson in college and Saeid Ebrahimi on the global scene. The finish came at the 4:33 mark after Miocic - the longest-reigning champion in UFC heavyweight history - crumpled from the shot.

"They've known each other a long time with the whole wrestling thing", White said. "I never thought I would fight him, but Brock Lesnar, get your ass in here!"

Daniel Cormier unleashed a guttural roar as he took to the stage during the UFC 226 ceremonial weigh-ins.

"Push me now, (and) you're going to sleep later", Cormier yelled at Lesnar.

"Him and Vince have a good relationship", White said. Never, though, did it seem it would occur under such circumstances.

"Listen to DC! Listen to DC!" he said, referring to himself by his nickname. He's another wrestler, another All-American. After the victory, the new heavyweight champion was doing an interview with Joe Rogan before he took the microphone and called out Brock Lesnar.
