Prosecutors Reviewing Stallone Sexual Assault Allegation

U.S. prosecutors have launched a probe to determine whether film star Sylvester Stallone should be charged in connection with a sexual assault reported a year ago, a spokesman said Wednesday.

A special entertainment task force is reviewing a sexual assault allegation against Sylvester Stallone, prosecutors in Los Angeles County have confirmed. The statue of limitations were said to have already expired on that case, though.

A Santa Monica Police Department spokesman did not immediately return messages seeking additional details about the referral. The alleged victim filed a police report in May.

"My client categorically denies the allegations", Singer added in a CNN interview.

Stallone through his lawyer has publicly denied previous media reports about the allegation.
