Renner explained. "I think the Russo brothers (Anthony and Joe, who directed) got way too many death threats". Only three other movies have amassed such an impressive box office run, Avatar with $2.79 billion, Titanic with $2.19 billion, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens with $2.07 billion. That Marvel Studios standalone has amassed an astounding $699.3 million domestic, while Infinity War's domestic total now sits at $656.1 million.

Avengers: Infinity War has officially crossed the $2 billion mark! Infinity War now stands as Marvel's highest-grossing film ever - although Black Panther still has it beat domestically with $699.4 million.

However, there are still some elements of Infinity War that fans are having a hard time getting over, like the fact that Thanos isn't even the most disliked character in the movie. It also holds the record for biggest domestic debut, raking in $257.7 million during its opening weekend.

"We keep saying, 'Patience is a virtue.'" Joe Russo said before Infinity War's release. This makes it the third-highest grossing film internationally, and the fifth-biggest stateside.

Avengers: Infinity War is now playing everywhere.

Trump confused by Trudeau's 'pushed around' comment: 'We just shook hands!'
Mr Navarro said Mr Trump "did the courtesy to Justin Trudeau to travel up to Quebec for that summit". The Americans' criticism of Trudeau left a former Canadian prime minister, Stephen Harper, stumped.

"Avengers: Infinity War" became the fastest film to hit the $1 billion worldwide mark, needing only 11 days to do so. It's the only the tenth film in China's history to earn more than 2 billion yuan in total and just the third import film to do so.

Up next from Marvel is Ant-Man and the Wasp this Summer followed by the release of Captain Marvel February 2019, and then the release of the still untitled Avengers 4 movie on May 3, 2019. James Cameron is still, after all these years, king of the world.

Other top territories include United Kingdom ($95.1M), South Korea ($92.8M), Brazil ($65.9M), Mexico ($59.9M), Australia ($46.3M), France ($45.3M), India ($43.6M), Germany ($43.4M), Russian Federation ($34.4M), and Japan ($33.6M).

The expectations from Avengers: Infinity War were definitely sky-high and given the opening boost of the film, it will fall a bit short of them.
