Announced as part of Nintendo's E3 2018 Direct presentation, Overcooked 2 is real, and it's coming to Nintendo Switch.

If you were expecting a bunch of big Switch announcements for 2018 and beyond, the sheer focus on Smash might have been disappointing.

Series producer and regular drinker from the Fountain of Youth Masuhiro Sakurai appeared during the broadcast to confirm the new title, known as Super Smash Bros Ultimate, before we were treated to a showcase of all the game's characters.

I tried a one on one match, and was reminded that our blows would deal more damage than in a standard 4 Player Battle, in order to nearly scale the action so that it had a similar intensity.

A few new additions to the roster have also been confirmed. Even better, it's free-to-play.

Thanks to a leak, we already knew Fortnite is coming to Nintendo Switch. The original board game style has been kicked up a notch with deeper strategic elements, like specific Dice Blocks for each character. The latest franchise entry, Super Smash Bros.
