In case you missed it, earlier this week Apple announced the latest updates and features to its software at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2018) in California. "It's a lot like a calorie counter on menus, showing you how much time you're spending on your phone on this category or that category because at least then you have the information and you can make smarter choices".
Apple's Messages app was the focus of several big updates over the past couple of years, but this year Messages is receiving just a minor update. Through AR, iPhone users now can measure objects. Parents will also be able to choose the apps they want to make available to their kids all the time.
"Parents can access their child's Activity Report right from their own iOS devices to understand where their child spends their time and can manage and set App Limits for them", said Apple. You will find that once this update is complete, it will look just like the App Store you see on your iOS device.
A release date for iOS 12 is unknown at this time. Even better, the group video call feature in FaceTime supports up to 32 parties in a very intuitive UI. Highlights included increased performance when opening the iPhone camera, apps, and using the keyboard, as well as finally introducing grouped notifications to declutter your lock screen.
Putin, Trump 'Regularly Talk' Over the Phone
Last week, President Trump told reporters that he was " his cancelation of the summit and that it would occur as scheduled. Moscow retaliated in kind but Putin has repeatedly said the sanctions were ineffective and counter-productive.
Apple released the next version of its augmented reality platform for developers, called ARKit 2.
The new Screen Time feature is one of the most significant add-ons with iOS 12.
It remains to be seen whether or not this new group FaceTime feature will run smoothly when iOS 12 launches later this year.
