EA Shows off Battlefield V: Will Bring Battle Royale To WW II

With everyone and their cat vying for a piece of the battle royale genre, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 including its own take, DICE has confirmed that Battlefield V will also be throwing its hat into the battle royale ring. The publisher claims that it will be unlike anything players have played before, and it will reveal more details about it later this year.

They will show off the single player part of BV, war stories tomorrow during the Microsoft Xbox One conference.

He added that there is "lots of good energy" at DICE related to the new battle royale mode. That will include a focus on "moments of human heroism" and "facing the brutality of war". While EA first debuted Battlefield V on May 23, the company used this opportunity to elaborate on features like the massive Grand Operations.

Back in May, DICE told GmaeSpot that battle royale was a "natural fit" for Battlefield V, though at the time the studio stopped short of confirming it.

Battlefield V is due out October 19 for PC and consoles, and EA has already promised to drop the Premium Pass and map packs for this entry in the long-running series.
