The new macOS features were spotted by developer Steve Troughton-Smith in a 30-second preview video hidden on the Apple servers.

MacOS Mojave, coming later this year, will include a true dark mode for the first time. This is one of the biggest updates for Mac in a long time but there seems to be little in store for developers.

Another new visual feature in Mojave is "Dynamic Desktop", which changes the desktop wallpaper based on the time of day. Now, the feature is being revamped to make a system-wide change. On stage today, Apple software chief Craig Federighi unequivocally said that's not going to happen - but what Apple will do is making it much easier to bring iOS apps to macOS.

"Soon" is a loose term, mind you, because while Apple will have a selection of its iOS apps ready in Mojave, developers won't get access to the framework to bring iOS apps to Mac until late 2019. The background also has an image of the Mojave Desert in California suggesting the name of the next version be macOS Mojave.

New and updated apps are highlighted in the Discover tab, while tabs for Create, Work, Play, and Develop aid in locating certain apps for a specific goal.

To solve this issue, Apple is working on a new set of algorithms by directly integrating the iOS's UIKit into the macOS.

During WWDC, a whole new Mac App Store was introduced with a new look and new features including a discover tab that can also be seen on the iPhone/iPad App Store. The new macOS brings enhanced security feature on Safari Browser which will block tracking websites like Facebook and other websites, these websites use to track users data and those data were sold for researching goal.

Apple had recently revamped their iOS app store, so a desktop renovation of the App Store was kinda expected.

As such, Apple's News app will deliver the news in a way that is specifically Apple (which Pickr has a feed in), while Voice Memos will let you access the voice memos across devices that are stored in the cloud.

Over on Safari, Apple is also adding an option to block social networks such as Facebook or Twitter from tracking a user online using like buttons or similar implements.
