MacOS Mojave, coming later this year, will include a true dark mode for the first time. This is one of the biggest updates for Mac in a long time but there seems to be little in store for developers.
Another new visual feature in Mojave is "Dynamic Desktop", which changes the desktop wallpaper based on the time of day. Now, the feature is being revamped to make a system-wide change. On stage today, Apple software chief Craig Federighi unequivocally said that's not going to happen - but what Apple will do is making it much easier to bring iOS apps to macOS.
"Soon" is a loose term, mind you, because while Apple will have a selection of its iOS apps ready in Mojave, developers won't get access to the framework to bring iOS apps to Mac until late 2019.
