A Louisiana-based televangelist is seeking donations for a private jet that costs $54 million so that his ministry "can go anywhere in the world in one stop".
He added: "I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the Earth today, he wouldn't be riding a donkey".
Now he has his eye set on a brand-new Dassault Falcon 7X, largely because of its fuel capacity.
Duplantis shows pictures of the three planes, which he describes as a Cessna Citation 500, an IAI Westwind II and a Dassault Falcon 50 purchased in 2006.
But Duplantis reckons it's not about comfort, it's about speed.
He preaches the prosperity gospel, which says God shows favor by rewarding the faithful with earthly riches.
"I said "what do you mean?' He said 'Before you ask I'll answer".
White House: 'No one's defending' Roseanne, but Trump still owed apology
Trump wrote that Iger never called him to apologize for "the disgusting statements" that have been said about him on ABC. Sanders said Trump was calling out Iger's and ABC's "bias", adding that "no one is defending what [Barr] said".
So it's actually super economical, guys.
Duplantis is hoping to take the word of Jesus to new heights - with help from a $54 million private jet, CBS News' Tony Dokoupil reports.
Duplantis, who has a church just outside New Orleans, also owns one of the largest homes in Saint Charles Parish; it has 22,039 square feet of living space and 12,947 square feet of outdoor patios, garages, and other amenities.
Although preachers owning private jets is not unusual, this particular appeal has caused controversy.
"Now how we gonna do that?" he asked.
"The world is in such a shape, we can't get there without this", Copeland said of private aircraft. It's going to reach people.
He said there was no obligation, and there was only one surefire way to determine what, exactly God wanted them to do: Prayer. You can't, you can't manage that today.
Pointing to one of his older jets, he continued: "Now people say 'my Lord, can't you go with this one?' Yes, but I can't go at one stop". "You get in a long tube with a bunch of demons, and it's deadly".
