During this year's Bethesda E3 Showcase on June 10th (6:00 pm Pacific / 9:00 pm Eastern), a brand new Fallout game will be fully revealed.

Following a surprise tease yesterday that the internet should "stay tuned" for something special, Bethesda has released a short trailer for what looks to be a whole new Fallout game: Fallout 76.

Following a 24-hour livestream on Twitch, Bethesda Softworks officially unveils the next installment in the post-apocalyptic world of the Fallout franchise, Fallout 76.

The vault is known as a control vault and was created to be automatically opened after 20 years to compare the results with the other vaults in the area.

Does this mean that the new game will take place entirely within a vault?

The main character, wearing a shiny Vault 76 jumpsuit, straps on a Pip-Boy and appears to head into the Wasteland. It all started on May 29 when the Bethesda Game Studios Twitter account sent out a tweet that featured the familiar "Please Stand By" screen from previous Fallout games.

Kotaku reports today that Fallout 76 will be an online survival RPG, similar to experience found in DayZ and Rust.

The song was also first recorded in the early 70s, which could indicate that the game does have a 70s theme after all - rather than the usual retro-future version of the 50s. Check out the teaser trailer for the game in the player below!

While nothing has been revealed about Fallout 76's gameplay, there are some hints within the reveal trailer.

"It will also feature base-building-just like 2015's Fallout 4-and other survival-based and multiplayer mechanics, according to those sources".

Vault 76 is one of the Vault-Tec vaults shown on the computer in the Citadel. Add a poster we quickly catch a glimpse with the date 1776-2076, celebrating 300 years of a sovereign America, we can safely assume the 76 in Fallout 76 will have more than one meaning.
