As a finalist for the 2018 NBA Defensive MVP, Embiid, who averaged 11 rebounds and a 3.6 Real Plus-Minus rating will be facing off against fellow defensive anchors Rudy Gobert (5.15) and Anthony Davis (3.8) for the title best defender in the league.

Meanwhile, LeBron will be back on the floor with his Cavaliers teammates on Saturday for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Quicken Loans Arena against the Boston Celtics, who lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.

Harden, who led the league in scoring, has twice been a runner-up for the award, including past year when Russell Westbrook won.

Davis pulled off what many thought was a miracle, dragging the Pelicans to the No. 6 seed in the playoffs despite a season-ending injury to running-mate DeMarcus Cousins.

James was named the Kia NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month four times during the year and has now won the award 38 times in his career.

Games and Advertising Lift Tencent to Record First Quarter Profit
Between its January peak price of HK$476.6 and a low this year of HK$380 on May 8, Tencent lost US$117 billion in market value. Revenue reached 73.52 billion yuan equal to $11.5 billion compared to expectations on Wall Street of 72.04 billion yuan.

The finalists in all categories were determined by voting by a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

The winners of these awards will be revealed at the 2018 NBA Awards presented by Kia on Monday, June 25 at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.

While Mitchell did average more points in the regular season, Simmons averaged more rebounds, assists, steals and played more effective defense than his opponent over the first 91 games of his National Basketball Association career and looks like a potential superstar.

Ben Simmons has been shortlisted for the NBA's Rookie of the Year award, along with Utah's Donovan Mitchell and Boston sensation Jayson Tatum. Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is the other finalist.
