Modi announced assistance of Rs 100 crore for the development of Janakpur and said it will be added in the Ramayana Circuit while Lumbini will be included in the Buddhist Circuit. The amount will be spent on different development projects forging collaboration between the central government and the local government of Province No 2 Janakpur.

PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Nepal where he is scheduled to hold talks with the country's top leadership to build mutual trust over the course of the two days om Nepal.
