OLIVE BRANCH: Katy Perry, Taylor Swift on verge of settling feud

After a almost five-year feud, it appears that Taylor Swift and Katy Perry are finally ready to put their bad blood behind them.

The note next to the olive branch is pretty hard to see in the video, but the first line is decipherable: "Hey old friend", it reads.

Since then, the two took not-so-subtle shots at each other in songs like Swift's "Bad Blood" and Perry's "Swish Swish". "This means so much to me", Taylor said in the video. "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour", Taylor continued.

Probably the most notable thing to come from the feud was 2014's "Bad Blood".

It seems Katy Perry was inspired in more than one after yesterday's heavenly-themed Met Gala because the 33-year-old is seeking redemption and forgiveness from her "enemy" Taylor Swift. "But when someone like Taylor Swift steps up and does what she did last night, I don't even have the words for what it was".

Swift and Perry's make-up was among the top 10 trending items worldwide on Twitter on Tuesday.

India won't play day-night test at Adelaide Oval
South Africa was initially reluctant to play their day-night match in 2016 sighting an extra advantage for the home team. In contrast, Sri Lanka happily agreed to play the Aussies in a day-night Test at the Gabba later in January.

On Monday Swift shared an image of herself with her 107 million Instagram followers (presumably near Glendale, where her tour kicks off) in front of a cactus, wearing a sleeveless, printed midi dress.

More thinly-veiled references to the beef would follow with both Nicki Minaj and Swift's ex Calvin Harris getting in on the action - against Swift for the most part, until Perry finally aired all of their dirty laundry on an episode of Carpool Karaoke while promoting her latest album, Witness.

"I love her, as a songwriter, as well", Perry stuttered, before shrugging indifferently. "And I think she's a fantastic songwriter".

Perry also apologized to Swift during an interview on Arianna Huffington's Thrive Global Podcast in 2017.

Perry said she had no problem with this, but asked the dancers to make sure their contracts included a provision allowing them to bow out when Perry went back on tour in a year. "I think that women together, not divided, will heal the world".
