One of the photos shows the little prince being cuddled by his 3-year-old sister Princess Charlotte. The photo was taken by Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton herself on Princess Charlotte's third birthday, which was on May 2.
The other photo, taken on April 26, shows Louis propped against a cushion wearing a white jumper and pants.
Kensington Palace released the images on their Twitter account and wrote: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess at Kensington Palace".
The royal couple's oldest child, four-year-old Prince George, doesn't appear in the photos.
In one picture, taken three days after he was born, the young prince is seen propped up on a white frilly cushion on a seat and is dressed all in white.
