George Zimmerman, the Florida man who was acquitted in Trayvon Martin's 2012 shooting passing, has been charged for supposedly threatening and raping a personal investigator.

Trayvon Martin was shot and killed on February 26, 2012, and it was Zimmerman's delayed arrest and subsequent acquittal for Martin's murder that spurned the creation of the Black Lives Matter movement.

"Dennis is an (expletive) who bothered my uncle in his home".

In the stalking case, Warren told authorities that he left one voicemail and sent one text message to Zimmerman in September 2017.

Zimmerman is accused of repeatedly threatening and harassing Dennis Warren between December 16 and December 25 of a year ago, the sheriff's office said.

In one instance, according to the court documents, Zimmerman called Warren 21 times, left seven voicemails, and 38 text messages in a two-hour time-span. Local or former law officer, he's well on his way to the inside of a gator as well.

The article Zimmerman forwarded to the victim also quoted him as saying "I know how to handle people who f*** with me, and I have since 2012". The threats pertained to Warren and the producer's contacting family members of Zimmerman about the documentary.

In December 2017, another producer of the documentary reportedly informed Warren that Zimmerman had been sending him threats against himself and the PI. Those voicemails included ticking sounds and tones that would slowly increase in frequency and speed, according to the report.

Zimmerman claimed he was acting in self-defense when he shot Martin.

In 911 calls from that night, Zimmerman told a dispatcher about a "real suspicious guy" walking in the neighborhood.

The warrant says that Zimmerman yelled profanities at a Seminole County sergeant who called him on January 3, berated her and said, "You have been involved with me since that Martin kid".

The affidavit said police found Zimmerman knew about Warren and his family's whereabouts and that "coupled with the direct references to do personal harm", Warren was afraid for his safety. Zimmerman was served with a summons on May 3, and his arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30 at 9:00 a.m.
