Well, you might not be alone!

TweetDeck, Twitter's own more advanced client, seemed to be loading fine.

According to the website downdetector.com, thousands of users complained about the outage, which was concentrated in the US, United Kingdom and Japan.

Thousands of Twitter users are reporting problems with the service every minute, DownDetector reports. "Thanks for noticing- We are going to fix it up and have things back to normal".

Apple's upcoming new service might be the Netflix of news
About a month ago, Apple spent part of its enormous cash reserves on acquiring digital magazine subscription service Texture. The company's SVP Eddy Cue spoke about a number of topics at SXSW last month, including the current Apple News app.

Users across the globe have reportedly been either logged out of their mobile apps or are simply seeing a message on their browsers that reads, "Something is technically wrong".

The problem started just before 3pm this afternoon and stopped people logging on to the Twitter website or sending tweets using the app.

In November 2017, Twitter introduced a major update for its users, increasing the size of tweets from 140 to 280 characters.

There were about 6,500 reports of issues at its peak at 10 a.m., according to DownDetector.
