According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Knicks have added a few other names to give them a grand total of five candidates for the head coaching job: Jerry Steakhouse, coach of the Raptors G-League affiliate, the 905, former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Platt, and LA Clippers assistant coach (and former Knicks coach) Mike Woodson.

The news of KP's injury sent shockwaves not only through NY but throughout the basketball world, as one of the league's brightest young stars would be forced to make a lengthy and tedious recovery - one that doesn't always guarantee a successful return.

Before meeting with Mills and Perry on Saturday, Porzingis, 22, reiterated that he wants to remain in NY long term. "I like NY, but New York is a tough place to coach".

"Jeff is a true professional who has worked tirelessly for this organization the last two seasons", Knicks President Steve Mills and General Manager Scott Perry said in a statement. But Blatt's relationship with Mills may help them finally land the right guy. I want it to be mutual.

Fisher replaced Woodson in 2014-15 and flopped.

According to ESPN, Knicks president Steve Mills and the team's general manager Scott Perry told Hornacek he was sacked after they returned to NY after beating the Cavs 110-98 at the Quicken Loans Arena. It was reported Saturday that David Fizdale and Jerry Stackhouse were on the list of candidates that NY would interview.

If he were to get hired, this would be Woodson's second stint with the Knicks. He went 109-79 in two-and-a-half seasons with the franchise.

Metta inked a two-year deal with the Knicks in 2013; however, the team waived the National Basketball Association veteran less than a year later after buying out his contract. "I'm happy about how the rehab is going".
