Initial reports valued Teddy Bridgewater's one-year agreement with the Jets at $5 million, but it turns out the quarterback has an opportunity to make way more than that.

The Jets have the No. 6 pick in the National Football League draft.

The Jets have re-signed quarterback Josh McCown.

What does this all mean in the grand scheme of things for quarterback Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg? They are also rumored to be bring in Teddy Bridgewater, but look for them to attack the 2018 NFL Draft.

He was sidelined for 14 months during his recovery and placed on the PUP list, where he spent the first six weeks of the 2017 season. Long, 27, started six games at center for Washington last season before landing on injured reserve with knee tendinitis. Maybe McCown will once again have another solid season and be a bridge quarterback for either Bridgewater or a rookie. His season was cut short when he went down with a broken hand in the 1 quarter against the Broncos. Despite the abbreviated campaign, McCown was voted team MVP by his Jets teammates. One would think considering how bad Petty was playing and that McCown was out for the season with a broken hand injury previous year, they would have at least given Hackenberg a shot. And you got to spend it on guys who can play. McCown, Julius Peppers and Dwight Freeney were the only players from the 2002 draft still playing in 2017. Last season Crowell saw a lot of his touches going to Duke Johnson. McCown set individual highs with 2,926 yards passing and 18 touchdowns, and quickly established himself as a respected leader in the locker room. He caught a career-best 40 passes in 2016.
