Battle Angel was going to be released on July 20, 2018 but has now been pushed back to December 21, 2018. Now, the studio has announced similar moves for two of this year's bigger releases, The Predator and Alita: Battle Angel, with one of them nearly moving all the way to next year.

The Predator gets bumped by just over a month, moving from August 3rd to September 14th. The other major films releasing that week are Alpha, The Darkest Minds, and Fighting With My Family.

Additionally, Fox set a November 8, 2019 release date for "Death on the Nile", directed by Kenneth Branagh and based on the Agatha Christie mystery.

The Alita: Battle Angel trailer debuted in December 2017, and folks reacted with both confusion and trepidation. The film is directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau from a screenplay by Cameron, Rodriguez, and Laeta Kalogridis.

Here's the Alita: Battle Angel synopsis. A growing affection develops between the two until deadly forces come after Alita and threaten her newfound relationships.
