Tinubu Meets APC National Working Committee

Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC are now meeting at the party's national headquarters in Abuja.

On his part, John Oyegun, national chairman of the APC, said there are issues that must be resolved in the party.

Abuja - National leader of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a chieftain of the party, Bisi Akande, are now at the Presidential Villa to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The APC Chieftain said his mission is to seek opinions and advice on the various conflicts within the party both at state or national level, to reconcile and move the party in a cohesive manner, and reposition if any.

Tinubu said, "we worked hard to get victory; we have never governed before, but we won the confidence of Nigerians to govern".

In a statement on Wednesday, Kola Ologbondiyan, spokesman of the PDP, said Buhari should step aside because of his "inability" to connect with the social and economic realities of the country.

"It is not easy to have those changes implemented like instant curfew". We have to grow and face challenges. We have this party and we all work hard.

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu said evolving "true change" in the country as promised by the party is not an easy task. "I am all ears to listen to the various challenges that we have", he said. Since we won the election, the expectations have been very high and the good will was extremely high. But where are we today?

"Asiwaju Bola Tinibu is capable of reconciling aggrieved members considering his political clout and commitment to the ideals of the party, " Garba said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Daura, Katsina State. "It is only because people are not paying attention to the various statistics that are available and we have to push that I won't touch those areas yet", he said.

"We will make your assignment the most successful one; you are welcome".

Odigie-Oyegun said, "We have major issues in the National Assembly, we have major issues in Benue State, we have major issues in Kano State, we have major issues in Kogi..."

"At this meeting, we all made it clear that we want to work with him and the national chairman said we will cooperate with him in whatever way and support him in this assignment".

He explained that despite the challenges facing the party and the administration, the APC remains the best alternative for Nigerians.
