Chelsea skipper Cahill issues Conte demand before Hull game

Conte has been fighting to keep his job this season, and Chelsea's results have been far from acceptable by their standards, and it seems that Cahill himself realised that - and spoke about the intense training the side do, which is something many players have reportedly had issues with this season.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed that he has a number of selection problems ahead of the club's FA Cup fifth round clash with Hull City. I thought it was a great opportunity to mentally freshen our minds up and physically freshen the bodies up.

"I see great commitment in every training session".

That does make this a bit of a trap game, especially if the Magic of the FA Cup decides to magic its way into the narrative (a bit like it did for Bradford City a few years ago when Chelsea ended up winning both the league and the League Cup), but it does also mean that it's a good chance to rest and rotate the squad.

"I am really happy with the Barca legends project right now but it's true that getting back into coaching is something which appeals to me", he said.

Morata has been missing in recent weeks due to a niggling back injury but he made his return to action when he came on as a substitute in Chelsea FC's 3-0 win over West Brom on Monday night.

Two men who can ill-afford to slack off in the manner Keane suggested are record signing Alvaro Morata and new recruit Olivier Giroud.

On the importance of having such options available to him, Conte continued: 'Yeah for sure, in this moment it's important to have all your players available.

'If we decide to play with the three midfielders.

"For a lot of time, we tried to play with Eden Hazard as a No9".

Asked whether Morata and Giroud could be fielded in tandem, Conte added: "I think that, in the future, yes, it could happen". But now, I think it's very soon to answer this question.

Ross Barkley, David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko are all unavailable and Conte plans to assess the fitness of other Blues players before naming his line-up.
