The press release states that "we are now entering the coldest months of the season, which means the threat of home fire deaths is still very real".
Ross said to those who are looking to volunteer, "Give us a call; it's never too late".
"Our thoughts are with the families affected by these devastating home fires", said Ana Montero, regional CEO, American Red Cross New Jersey Region.

Ross also explained the Red Cross has a number of free apps the public can download for free that offer information and alerts.
According to the Red Cross, the campaign launched in October 2014, and has already saved many lives and installed hundreds of thousands of smoke alarms in almost 10,000 cities and towns. Financially, the Red Cross offers lodging assistance for clients without places to live. They can use the app's "I'm Safe" button to connect with their loved ones. "Some of the folks have even deployed a couple of times", Dinsdale said.
Caseworkers will be available at the service center to work one-on one with each family to create an individualized recovery plan.
"A volunteer can kind of make a schedule of when they can volunteer, which is different than before", Helphinstine said. It is for a good cause, it is badly needed, and it will help them serve and give back to their community.
