Man City prepared to miss out on Alexis Sanchez over fee

It was reported on Thursday that United have approached Arsenal regarding Alexis, although senior City sources are themselves unaware if that is merely mischief making - either on the part of agents or their rivals - or a genuine attempt to stage an eleventh hour coup. Ferdinand who is a true United loyal himself remarked that Manchester City looks like the place to go for the Arsenal man if he wants to be remembered for the trophies he won.

But United have emerged as genuine rivals to City in the pursuit of Sanchez, with Jose Mourinho's side reportedly willing to meet Arsenal's asking price and secure an immediate transfer. So I would not like my players to read what I've said, or see me on TV, and see the manager is talking about another thing, and then thinking that they are not important.

What we believe really is some players in football world, if you have a chance to sign them - it doesn't matter if it is in January, March or July - you have to try.

"It would be a coup, particularly for United fans, to have a player like Sanchez potentially come to them over City".

"It might be a case that Guardiola will need to convince the player how much he is wanted, be it this month or at the end of the season".

With his contract running out this summer, Arsenal fans had been wishing that their marquee player will sign an extension but Sanchez has been holding for weekly wages of about £400,000 which Arsenal are in no mood to agree upon.

He later explained that as an ex-player and a fan he would love to have Sanchez at Old Trafford, but he wasn't asked that question yesterday.

Hence, both these men are no more eligible to win the coveted Bigg Boss trophy. As per sources, Puneesh Sharma was already evicted from the show last night.

"I said hello." Conte said about the situation.

For them to finish in the top four this season is not going got be easy, and that's why selling Sanchez to Manchester United would make no sense to me at all. So they want a combination of the two that big clubs can give them.

"He knows very well my admiration for him".

Arsene Wenger still thinks there's a good chance Mesut Ozil will extend his contract with Arsenal, but has admitted that Alexis Sanchez won't be signing a new deal. "I expect nothing. I'm focused on tomorrow's game (vs. Chelsea)".

"Of course I want a quick resolution", he told reporters at Arsenal's north London training base.

"In relation to Sanchez all I can say, which everyone else says, is that he is a phenomenal player".
