A news that should raise Bihar government's concerns regarding the movements of Nitish Kumar across the state, the Chief Minister was attacked by a group of people in Buxar during his "Vikas Samiksha Yatra". Some ten policemen in charge of the CM's security sustained severe injuries.

However, Nitish Kumar was whisked out of the spot by his security personnel in time. "My goal is not to run the government from the State capital but to assess ground realities and the progress of development schemes".

As per the sources, Nitish Kumar was in the village to examine the development works done by his government, but the villagers attacked his convoy due to lack of the same in their area.

Earlier in the yatra, when some protesters waved black flags at Sulindabad village in Saharsa, Mr. Kumar had said wryly, "What is wrong with black colour? They try to mislead and provoke others but people should not get perturbed over such minor happenings", the chief minister said while addressing a public meeting in Dumraon block later. It is a fine shade.
