"They've been working on it in a bipartisan way for a long time", Pelosi said.

"The five white guys I call them, you know", Pelosi said, Politico reported.

"That could have been four months ago. I am committed to ensuring DREAMers are protected and I will welcome everyone to the table who wants to get this done", Hoyer said to POLITICO in a statement. "It's not a question of who's there, but who's not there". The message: evil white males kept minority lawmakers off the negotiating team because, well, they're evil.

"Are they gonna open up a hamburger stand next, or what?" she joked to laughter from the press conference.

Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland blasted his colleague, labeling her remark as "offensive".

Rep. Nancy Pelosi is upset because there are no minorities in the group of congressional negotiators trying to hammer out an agreement on immigration. Second, it looks pretty clear that Pelosi doesn't have confidence in either Hoyer or Durbin to negotiate, or she wouldn't have made that remark. Or is Nancy Pelosi just determined to be the gift that keeps on giving all year round?

Walmart on Thursday joined a growing list of companies who have chose to share the tax cut savings with employees, announcing a plan to boost pay and give bonuses worth up to $1,000 to workers.

The comments have been eclipsed however after President Trump was forced to deny on Friday that he didn't want the United States receiving immigrants from "s***hole countries" in the Caribbean and Africa. Easy to see why she might sniff at such a trivial amount. "I think it's going to do tremendous things for our economy, and unfortunately, we are in a very, very partisan climate, but that does not stop us from doing what we think is right to help people in this country and to grow the economy". Why it would matter beyond Democrats once again playing the race card is unclear.

House Democrats should find that offensive - and give Pelosi the boot.
