Liam Neeson Calls Sexual Harassment Allegations in Hollywood a 'Witch Hunt'

Actor Liam Neeson feels the pendulum could swing too far when it comes to the sexual misconduct allegations hitting Hollywood.

Speaking on The Late Late Show on RTE, the Hollywood A-lister said "there's some people, famous people, being suddenly accused of touching some girl's knee, or something, and suddenly they're being dropped from their program, or something".

Neeson specifically referred to the case of the American radio broadcaster Garrison Keillor, who was sacked by Minnesota Public Radio a year ago over allegations of "inappropriate behaviour with an individual who worked with him".

"In his vast and impressive body of work, Liam Neeson has accomplished achievement after achievement in a variety of roles and interpretations that have left a profound impact on the landscape of worldwide cinema", President Higgins said. You do silly things and it becomes superstitious, and if you don't do it every night you think it's going to jinx the show.

When Late Late Show host Ryan Tubridy namechecked Kevin Spacey and Dustin Hoffman as examples of other men who have been accused of inappropriate behaviour, Neeson appeared unconvinced. "But it's childhood stuff what he was doing", Neeson said.

His comments sparked criticism on Twitter.

"There is a movement happening".

The actor said the allegations reported by media are in "every industry". The focus seems to be on Hollywood at the minute.

Rite Aid Corporation (RAD)
To do this, analysts often study the speed and magnitude of a stock's price movements with what are known as momentum indicators . Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE: RAD ) has a market cap of $2.33 billion and over the last 12 months, RAD has declined by -74.28%.

"He was listening to a sad story from a female friend of his", said Neeson, relaying Keillor's version of events. But it's across every industry.

"If you read the stuff I've read about how female labourers are being treated, in farms and ranches", the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador said, "it's chilling".

And I get sent facts and figures and stuff.

Also, historically, witch hunts left a lot of innocent women dead and produced no actual witches, so it might be time to find a new metaphor. A grope for good luck as it were.

"Oh God,'s not "childhood stuff" when they were grown men, it's being lecherous, inappropriate creeps".

One of the users called on the women actors to stop working with Neeson.

Liam Neeson was presented with the Presidential Distinguished Service Award in Dublin on Friday by President Michael D Higgins to honour his contribution to Ireland and his humanitarian work.

But @RealSarahFlynn wrote: "You mightn't like it but at least he's authentic and I don't think calling elements of it a witch hunt is that terribly untrue".
