The critically acclaimed RPG was previously available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC before being followed-up by two similarly beloved sequels. Those who play the game on PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X or PC will be able to take advantage of 4K resolution with 60fps. Dark Souls Remastered, probably in the top percentile of requested PC games given the state of the original version on PC and its popularity, is apparently one of several announcements due at a secret Nintendo Direct due to broadcast today.
Properly titled Dark Souls: Remastered, the Nintendo Switch version boasts improved framerate and resolution and includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. The genre-defining title is coming back in high-definition detail and it also marks the debut of the Dark Souls series on a Nintendo platform for the first time ever.
FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco has yet to announce anything about a Dark Souls or Dark Souls 2 remaster. Lo and behold, Dark Souls Remastered was confirmed with the below trailer.

Nintendo recently claimed that the Switch is the fastest-selling games console in U.S. history, having sold 4.8 million units in the 10 months since its launch last March.
Though it's unclear just how Dark Souls: Remastered will perform undocked, my bet is that the Switch will run it at a standard 720p 30 fps (which isn't bad). It's also coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One the same day.
