After days of dropping hints via Twitter, Nintendo finally delivered a new Direct Mini presentation this morning.
Super Mario Odyssey is getting a free update called Balloon World.
Announced in today's Nintendo Direct Mini, Luigi's Balloon World is a new competitive mode that will see players hiding and then seeking out balloons placed by other players around the game.

LG made a similar move past year for the same reason, so Samsung felt like it needed to even the scales. Samsung is finally changing that.
Players will be limited to only 30 seconds of exploration as they try to hide or find the balloons. The second mode is Find It, where players will attempt to find balloons hidden by other players. The more balloons you can discover, the higher you'll move on the Balloon World leaderboards.
The February update will also bring three new costumes to the game: Sunshine Shades, Musician Hat and Knight Helmet, and their respective outfits.
In the end, it isn't the biggest update, but the good news here is that it'll be free, which is hard to complain about. The last piece of the patch is a set of new filters for Super Mario Odyssey's photo mode; the video featured two of them. A specific release date for this update hasn't yet been revealed, though it will likely be coming soon.
