Michigan State University is going to set up a $10 million fund to help get counseling for victims of Dr. Larry Nassar.

Three victims of Larry Nassar will be addressing the Michigan State University Board of Trustees Friday.

"MSU and its external counsel have consistently promised if it were to find any employee knew of and acquiesced in Nassar's misconduct, it would immediately be reported to law enforcement", a statement from university officials reads. "I am sorry a physician who called himself a Spartan so utterly betrayed your trust and everything this university stands for".

At the meeting, board members sent a proposed $150,000 raise for Simon to a university scholarship fund in her and her husband's name.

The board announced the creation of a $10 million fund that will be used for counseling and mental health services as a way "to express our concern for and commitment to (the) fearless young women" who spoke out against Dr. Larry Nassar, a former Michigan State employee and serial sexual abuser.

Trustee Brian Mosallam said the administration sometimes comes across as "tone deaf and maybe sterile" and apologized for everything the victims have endured.

Lorincz told the trustees that they weren't doing enough.

"I do not feel that the apology from Lou Anna Simon was heartfelt", Kaylee Lorincz said after the meeting.

"I can only imagine how my life might have been different if only MSU had done their job in protecting me", Lorincz said. She said no one at the university has contacted her or her daughter in an effort to find out more about what happened and told Simon that she thinks she would like to be a resource as Michigan State's continues to review ways it can improve how it handles sexual assault.

"You have the opportunity to do right by the hundreds of young women who endured this abuse at the hands of your golden boy", McCaul said. It's hard to feel like it wasn't intentional that they did that while there's protesters in the room - students in the room who are speaking out against what's happening.
