A mother and daughter who went missing from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area have been found safe.
The post reads, "Megan Stack and her 8-year-old daughter, Ava, are safe!" Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told WSOC-TV that Megan Stack and her daughter Ava were found in Franklin County, Missouri, near St. Louis after Stack apparently voluntarily stopped at an emergency medical services substation.
Stack was last seen Monday leaving her home on Cloister Drive at about 1:30 p.m.
Charlotte police say Megan Stack, and her daughter Ava, were last seen Monday as the mother picked up this child from school.

Authorities say they are concerned about their safety due to Megan's emotional state, which they did not elaborate on.
Police shared the news on social media Wednesday.
