Peshawar pays tribute to veteran actor Shashi Kapoor outside Kapoor Haveli

But looks like fans from across the border are paying their tribute to Shashi Kapoor.

The attendees of the event included Karisma Kapoor, Ranshir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Soni Razdan, Padmini Kolhapure, Dimple Kapadia, Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan, Kabir Bedi, Waheeda Rehman, Rani Mukherji, Poonam Dhillon, Aadar Jain, Kiran Rao, Suniel Shetty, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Rekha, Neelam and other members of the Kapoor family.

Shashi, 79, passed away on December 4 due to kidney problem. Prithvi Theater which grew and flourished under him and his wife Jennifer Kendal's efforts was kept as a place to pay homage to the late actor.

Apart from them, veterans from the industry were also present, including Gulzar, Kabir Bedi, Rakesh Roshan, Jitendra, Ramesh Sippy, Prem Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Subhash Ghai, Sanjay Khan and Asha Bhosle. Shashi's brother Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor ruled the Hindi film industry for decades. He was undergoing dialysis for a kidney ailment for many years.
