Amazon vs. Google row leaves customers in the cold

Google blocked YouTube access via the Echo Show, Amazon's smart speaker with a touchscreen, on Tuesday and will stop supporting YouTube on Amazon's Fire TV set-top box on January 1.

In a statement, Google said it had been "trying to reach agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other's products and services" but, "given the lack of reciprocity", had made a decision to no longer support YouTube on Echo Show or FireTV.

"We've been trying to reach agreement with Amazon to give consumers access to each other's products and services", the spokeswoman said in a statement. In its own statement, Seattle-based Amazon said its gadgets now send users to the YouTube website, and the company hopes to resolve the dispute as soon as possible. Now Google has been unhappy with Amazon using its YouTube service on its devices and this was the first step to make Amazon agree to its demands. They also both offer corporate cloud-computing services, a market where Amazon leads by a wide margin. All you have to do is head over to the App Store on any Apple TV and then log in with your Amazon credentials. In countries that support the app, integration with Apple TV app is also included with an access to Up Next syncing and show recommendations. Given this lack of reciprocity, we are no longer supporting YouTube on Echo Show and FireTV.

Airtel And Intex Team-Up To Launch Three Entry-Level Smartphones
If the customers do not want to recharge with Rs. 169 plan, they have the flexibility of doing recharges of any denomination. All the three smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat and comes preloaded with apps such as MyAirtel App, Airtel TV, Wynk Music.

Amazon Prime Video is part of the Amazon Prime membership, now available for $10.99 or £7.99/month. Amazon says it is disappointing to see Google selectively blocking access to an open website. Sadly if they do not reach an agreement you will have to mirror your smartphone on to the Amazon streaming device to watch YouTube on the big screen.

In 2015, Amazon stopped selling several of Google's hardware products online, including the search engine giant's Chromecast video and audio-streaming dongles.

Amazon and Apple launched the Amazon Prime Video on the Apple TV yesterday, this is one app that many people have been waiting for on the Apple TV.
