A Bengaluru Ola cab driver allegedly locked up a 23-year-old woman passenger inside the vehicle and misbehaved with her, reported ANI.
Cab aggregator Ola on Wednesday said it has suspended one of its drivers after a woman from Bengaluru filed a complaint alleging that he locked her up in the auto and misbehaved with her.
She added that after few minutes of the incident she called up the Ola customer care service and lodged a complaint. "We have suspended the driver and extend full support to this investigation against the said driver".
"We have also urged the customer to lodge a formal complaint with the authorities".
The driver was banned after the woman complained to the cab aggregator.

The 23-year-old woman who works as a fashion stylist had hailed an Ola cab to travel from Indiranagar to BTM Layout at 10.30 pm on Sunday, December 3rd. The driver took her to a deserted spot on the Ring Road in south east Bengaluru and suddenly stopped, the woman said. He then tried to touch the woman inappropriately by reaching back from the front seat.
The driver then started calling the woman on her number to warn her after which she blocked his number. The woman ran for 500 meters till she reached the Ejipura traffic signal.
The woman, however, alleged that Ola did not inform her about the action it took against the driver.
While the woman approached the police, she is yet to file any complaint against the driver with the police department.
Speaking on the incident with IBT Times, Ola spokesperson said: "We regret the unfortunate experience the customer had during their ride". "He called the next day (Monday) and told me not to register a complaint against him", the victim said. He was rated 4.9 on the app.
