Residents and indigenes of Imo who have been grumpy over Rochas Okorocha's fascination with statues may now have something to be cheerful about: their Governor has broken new ground with the appointment of the first commissioner for Happiness and Couples' Fulfillment in Nigeria. "That is the part of the Ministry of Happiness", said Ololo.

Speaking to BBC Africa, Mrs Ololo told off her critics who slammed her and the governor over the glairing case of nepotism and creation of the unnecessary post saying it was beneficial to the people of Imo State.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, said a typographic error led to the naming of the Ministry as the Ministry of Happiness and Couples Fulfilment.

The development was greeted by sharp criticism from Nigerians at home and overseas.

"The word "Couple" was inadvertently written, instead of the word "Purpose", we regret that".
