Amazon Prime Video has finally landed on Apple TV, around six months after Tim Cook first said it was coming.

It has now though. After downloading the tvOS app, you'll be able to watch Man in the High Castle (above) and other series and films, provided you have a 3rd generation or later Apple TV, according to iTunes. Apple TV users can head to the tvOS Play Store to download Prime Video.

For the uninitiated, Amazon Prime Video is a video streaming service similar to Netflix and Hotstar. There is also an updated version of the Prime Video app for the iPhone and iPad.

The 4K Apple TV costs £179 for a 32GB model, £199 for a version with 64GB of storage.

We love Amazon Prime.

At its Worldwide Developers Conference keynote on June 5th, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the news re-confirming the app would be coming to Apple TV "later this year" with "a wealth of great content". Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos said past year that the e-commerce giant would not sell Apple's streaming TV box unless his company's Prime Video app could be installed on the Apple device. The main reason why the outlet chose to stop selling the set-top-box was due to it not being capable of running Prime Video because if someone bought the box on Amazon, they'd think it could stream Prime video content and they'd be disappointed.

The Amazon Prime Video app for Apple TV is now available for download. "And they're going to return it".
