"My father's last words were 'So much wasted time, '" Cassidy's daughter tweeted Friday.
Three days after his death, aged 67, his daughter spoke to his millions of fans. Cassidy continued to perform on stage and in bit TV roles through much of the 80s and 90s and 2000s, including a 2011 appearance on 'Celebrity Apprentice.' But he struggled throughout the years with debt and alcohol abuse - and was arrested several times for drunk driving. "This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute".
Cassidy, who became a teen heartthrob playing Keith Partridge on the 1970-74 ABC musical sitcom about a family band, died of liver and kidney failure following years of substance abuse.
'I wasn't her father. I always tried to catch him.
"I want to focus on what I am, who I am and how I've been without any distractions", Cassidy told People magazine following the announcement. "Now, I will carry him, along with all of the funny/sad/extraordinary days we shared, none more filled with love than these last few at his side".
