Rose McGowan Arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance

Actress Rose McGowan was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance after police said she left behind some luggage on a flight at Washington Dulles International Airport that tested positive for narcotics.

The Charmed star was under police investigation after two bags of cocaine were found in her purse after it was found on a United Airlines plane.

Police launched an investigation after they allegedly found traces of narcotics in personal belongings left behind on a United flight arriving at the Washington Dulles International Airport on January 20, the AP reported.

The actress turned herself in, was arrested and booked before being released on a $5,000 bond in Virginia Tuesday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriffs Office. After turning herself in Tuesday in Loudoun County, Virgina, McGowan was released on $5,000 bond.
