Phil Jones is hopeful of recovering from the calf injury he suffered playing for England and being available for Manchester United's late game against Newcastle United on Saturday. On the list he handed into the transfer committee, Soler's name was top; the United manager also assured that Valencia are mired "in a financial hole" and need to sell players to balance their books.

The Red Devils head into their game with Newcastle looking to get back to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Chelsea before the worldwide break left them eight points behind leaders Manchester City after 11 matches of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has been linked with PSG.

According to a report of Don Balon, Mourinho wants Manchester United to make at least one new signing in the January window if the club want him to stay.

NCAA reverses decision, NC State's Braxton Beverly eligible to play
Scott Tompsett, Beverly's attorney, released a state that said the freshman is "absolutely thrilled" by the NCAA's decision. State had to file new information which wasn't initially available in order for the decision to be reconsidered.

The Red Devils have fallen eight points behind Premier League leaders Man City since Pogba has been out and the 24-year-old's absence seems to have affected the form of both Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan - given how well the trio were combining in the opening stages of the new season.

Manchester United still want to buy a winger and Mourinho remains upset his side didn't buy Ivan Perisic, yet Soler will offer more options in the centre of midfield.

Soler would likely cost 40 million pounds to sign from Valencia. However, The Independent claim that United plan to offer Andreas Pereira (who is now on loan with Valencia) in part exchange for the Spanish Under-21 global.
