The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story finally has a trailer, and holy crap we are not prepared for this.
The eagerly anticipated follow-up to the award-winning, The People vs OJ Simpson, will explore the death of Versace at the hands of spree killer Andrew Cunanan, who also murdered four people before Versace, and committed suicide eight days after Versace's death. Without Murphy's admittedly ham-fisted approaches to television (see: any season of American Horror Story) pulling the strings, a surprisingly thoughtful, riveting commentary on one of the most talked-about murder cases.
Versace chronicles the murder of Gianni Versace (played by Ramirez) by Andrew Cunanan (played by Criss). "He was a creator, he was genius". Ricky Martin has also been cast as Gianni's boyfriend Antonio D'Amico, and other cast includes Annaleigh Ashford, Max Greenfield, Finn Wittrock, and Nico Evers-Swindell. "I will not allow that man, that nobody, to kill my brother twice". His streak came to screaming peak on July 15 of that year, when he murdered Versace on the steps of the fashion designer's idyllic Miami villa (now a luxury hotel called the Villa Casa Casuarina).
