After a brief guest-hosting stint in October, the daytime talk series has decided to make Grammy-winning artist Eve Jeffers Cooper, known to her fans simply as "Eve", the fifth co-host for Season 8.
She had previously appeared as a guest co-host on "The Talk" during the week of October 30.
She replaces Aisha Tyler who had departed in July after six years on the program.
Eve is a Grammy-winning artist who's known for the 2002 song "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" and her collaborations with Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jill Scott, and Dr. Dre. She's also starred in the Barbershop film franchise with Ice Cube and Anthony Anderson as well as on the self-titled TV comedy Eve, which aired on UPN from 2003 to 2006.
"I'm hoping I gain a new audience." she adds.

Should Saffold be named the victor , he would receive a $25,000 donation from the NFL Foundation to a charity of his choice. The Art Rooney Award was created in 2014 and is named after Art Rooney, the late founder of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"When I first got the first call in London, my manager told me about the opportunity, and at first I was like, 'I don't know, because it's far from from home, '" she exclusively tells PEOPLE. "I'm just in a place in my life where I was looking for a platform to express myself".
"Honestly, I am the most excited...", she said during her introduction to the audience.
"I've watched the show and the one thing that I liked about it is that all the women are all genuine", she says.
"I will definitely make time for acting, if there is time". "And music, yes, I've already started recording". "But the last few months I've been feeling that I want to join something".
