People felt obliged to troll her. But here comes yet another issue.

After Khuda Ke Liye and Bol, Verna is Shoaib Mansoor's third feature film, in which he continues his exploration of Pakistan's social ills with a story of a rape survivor's quest for justice. There are reports that the film is likely to be banned.

The movie tackles the subject to rape and how the protagonist fights for her rights.

Exclusively talking to Dunya News, Mahira Khan hoped that censor board will soon clear the film as the concept is good and everything in the movie handled carefully. Many can't believe such a thing would even be possible.

According to Shoaib Mansoor's official press statement, the director has appealed to the CBFC "for the urgent relief of Verna".

The censor board has continued to keep ambiguity over the decision to clear Mahira Khan-starrer Pakistani film "Verna".

On the other hand, the CBFC chairman Mobashir Hasan said, "The film is yet to be viewed by the full board and see if there are any objections". However, a final decision is expected to be taken later after a screening amongst the board.

Directed by Shoaib Mansoor, the film was scheduled to be releases on November 17.
