Mozilla says they have doubled Firefox's speed since a year ago.

There are a number of features that make Firefox Quantum a significant new entry in the browser wars, included its new CSS engine (Quantum CSS). Do many of you now use Firefox? This timeframe's work includes a "completely overhauled core engine" and "brand new technology stolen from [Mozilla's] advanced research group".

Just like with the original Firefox, Kaykas-Wolff says that users should feel good about using the new browser. If you're not now using the browser, Firefox Quantum is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android via a free download. "No other browser can do this", Mozilla claims. It actually is a little bit faster for the end user, as it were, and Mozilla's efforts make for the biggest update since the first version of the Firefox web browser.

AT&T Ready to Probe the White House's Role in Time Warner Deal
One scenario discussed would involve AT&T selling off Turner and then operating the spun-out company as a joint venture. But given DOJ's statement this afternoon, it's important to set the record straight.

Did you ditch Firefox a while ago after feeling that it was slowing down compared to rival browsers like Chrome? Even if that's getting too technical for you, this is what matters: Stylo is created to take better advantage of hardware and for low power consumption. The Android version is trickling out slowly on Google Play and the iOS version (which is usually updated separately from the other platforms) should eventually arrive on Apple's App Store. The company says it brings massive performance improvements thanks to Project Quantum, the code name Mozilla used while building next-generation architecture for a new Firefox. It's called Firefox Quantum, and it might give the web's most popular web browser a run for its money.

"We call this initiative Photon, and its goal is to modernize and unify anything that we call Firefox while taking advantage of the speedy new engine", the team explained.

Mozilla also emphasized its work on tabs. "You guessed it: the Photon UI itself is incredibly fast and smooth. Our designers created a system that scales to more than just current hardware but lets us expand in the future". If you're using Photon on a Windows PC with a touch display, the menus change size based on whether you click with a mouse or touch with a finger. Pocket is built right into the toolbar, and provides quick access to articles and videos that you have saved for later viewing.
