Instagram Stories Now Lets You Post Old Photos Without a Workaround

This change means you can take a weekend hike on Saturday morning, take Sunday to recover, and still share to your Instagram Story on Monday.

As with other stickers, you will have the option to rotate, move and resize the date stamp, or delete it altogether. Just open the gallery, scroll through it and simply select the one you want to share. Instagram v18 on Android will have this feature and Instagram v22 will have this feature in iOS App. Previously, the workaround was to re-save, screenshot, or edit the metadata on the image or video so that it appears new in your library, tricking Instagram into thinking you'd just captured some fresh new content.

Today, Instagram is pushing out an update that allows users to upload a video or picture that's older than 24 hours.

Clayton Sheriff: Suspect is dead after two Forest Park police officers shot
Forest Park Police Major Chris Matson said later that the suspect, a man around 30 years old, was found dead behind a house. Matson said Bailey got in a shootout with the officers when they tried to pull him over for reckless driving.

'Starting today, you can add photos and videos to your story, even if you took them more than 24 hours ago, ' Instagram said. Now, with the latest update, users will be able to add anything from the camera roll and share it instantly with friends.

Videos created with the Go Live With feature can be saved to your phone, or shared with followers on your story. As a result, Instagram is seeing almost double the number of users on Stories than Snapchat after taking the format right down to the name.
