The digital assistant is undoubtedly becoming smarter and more human-like than ever before and now it will also double up as your kid's play buddy. Part of the announcement was what Google likes to call "family fun" features that include games and activities to keep kids from getting bored.

Google is adding over 50 new games, activities, and stories to the Google Assistant on the smartphones and its home page.

The Mountain View-based company is also adding voice identification for children so that kids will be able to invoke Google Assistant and use these games on their own.

According to Logitech, "This latest integration with the Google Assistant works on all Circle 2 Cameras (Wired or Wire-Free), as well as the first generation Logi Circle, allowing you to watch live video feeds of what's happening in and around your home directly from your TV".

Fifth-round draw delay plunges Carabao Cup deeper into farce
United comfortably defeated Swansea 2-0 on Tuesday night to set up a tie against the Robins at Ashton Gate. Chelsea have been drawn at home to AFC Bournemouth at home in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Remember Google pulled YouTube from the Echo Show after a disagreement on its use, so this potential integration could give a touchscreen and voice-controlled speaker from Google the edge.

To get the kids started with voice recognition, they would have to make a Family Link account.

"The integration with the Google Assistant is an extension of that approach", said Andy Martin, Senior Director of Product at Canary.

Some apt at reading code have noticed something telling in the Google app code - evidence that behind the scenes at Google HQ employees are hard at work at creating a device capable of supporting on-display features, akin to the Amazon Echo Show. Make sure your Google App language is in English (US). To access this experience, you must have a Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built in and the Google Assistant on your eligible Android phone, iPhone or smart speaker like Google Home.
