It appears so, with the growing success of the brand backed by licensee HMD Global that has just completed the first flash sale in China of its newest smartphone, the Nokia 7, within minutes. The sale took place on China's domestic e-commerce websites JD.com and Suning on Tuesday.

HMD Global has just started sending out "Save The Date" emails for October 31st, possibly for a new product launch. The smartphone received over 1,50,000 registrations in minutes. However, we couldn't get information regarding the number of units that were up for sale.

Many people believe it's going to be the Nokia 7 smartphone which made its way to China last week, but there's another possibility as well. The display is protected with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Talking about the specifications and features of Nokia 7, the smartphone comes with variants of 4GB and 6GB RAM coupled with 64 GB built-in internal storage that can be further expanded through a microSD card.

HMD has sent out invites to a press event in India on the 31st of October, the company has not announced exactly what will be revealed at the event, although there is a good chance it will be the new Nokia 7 smartphone.

There is also a cutout for the fingerprint sensor just below the rear cameras, which hints that the Nokia 9 will come with an all-screen front panel.

The Nokia 7's standout feature is its "dual-sight" technology, which lets you take pictures and videos using the front and rear cameras simultaneously. It is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. We can not also decline the possibility of launching the unreleased, alleged Nokia 2 entry-level budget smartphone in the country exclusively. There is also a 5MP front selfie shooter.
