Hitman: Game of the Year Edition Trailer & First Details

Current Hitman owners will be able to purchase it for $20, while new players can get the GOTY package for the full retail price. Today is October 24, so the studio is delivering on its promise.

Developer IO Interactive has announced Hitman - Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition, which will launch on November 7 with the full gamut of content released thus far in season one.

Hitman's GOTY update will allow players to experience any Elusive Target missions they missed.

Those who now own Hitman digitally or on disc can pick up Patient Zero as a separate purchase for $19.99 or the regional equivalent. The new content will be available from November 7, 2017.

If you haven't stepped into the world of assassination and intrigue that is Hitman yet, the GOTY Edition will be available digitally on November 7th for $60.

There will also be new suit and weapon combinations, and each will get an Escalation around them. "Bangkok, Sapienza, Colorado and Hokkaido look and feel completely different with a new time of day and new custom music created by the composer for Season One, Niels Bye Nielsen". These maps have been "re-worked from the original settings with new gameplay opportunities, disguises, characters, challenges, gameplay mechanics, AI behaviour and HUD elements".

The new "Patient Zero" mission is described as following: "After the routine elimination of a target, a contingency plan to unleash a global pandemic is triggered and Agent 47 must race against the clock to prevent a virus from spreading". At the same time, IO Interactive will release a free update for the base game, including a redesigned interface, an update to Contracts Mode, lighting improvements, and upgrades for the Xbox One X version of the game.
