Kante is now sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up whilst playing for France and Chelsea are waiting for details of how long the player, who was recently included in the 30 man Ballon D'Or shortlist, is out for.
Kante limped off in the first half of France's 1-0 World Cup qualifying win over Bulgaria last Saturday and boss Antonio Conte is resigned to being without him for the rest of October.
"When I chose to utilise him in midfield against Tottenham, we played with three central midfielders".
"He's a good player and also someone in the past who has made some very important moves and done some very important things for Crystal Palace so I think all the fans will be pleased to see him back on the field".
"Kante is going to do another scan next week to check if his situation is improving". It's a muscular problem, a hamstring problem.
"He is a big loss for us because we know very well the importance of Kante to our team", said Conte.
Uber appeals decision to cancel its London license
The Uber boss came to London in early October for talks with the TfL commissioner that both sides described as "constructive". Uber will continue to operate in London throughout the whole appeal process, which could take up to a year or more.
"It will be very hard play Fabregas and Bakayoko for seven games in a row and we must hope we don't get any more injuries during this time". "From the previous scan, maybe he will be out for around 20 or 21 days", Conte said.
"For sure we are not lucky in this period because of all our midfielder we only have Bakayoko and Fabregas available".
'We have to approach seven games in one month so we have to find differnent solutions, adapt defenders to midfielders'.
Morata didn't play for Spain over the last fortnight, but Conte hopes he will return to face Roma at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
David Luiz performed impressively on his one midfield start this season against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley in August, but Conte added that he is reluctant to move the Brazil global out of his normal role in the middle of Chelsea's back three unless he is left with no other choice. "For me David is one of the best central defenders".
