LG bringing Google Assistant to 87 Wi-Fi-connected home appliances

The announcement comes less than a month after Google had stated that it is working with appliance makers to integrate Google Assistant.

Expanding its connected appliance initiative, LG Electronics has equipped nearly 87 of its appliances, including air conditioners, vacuums and air purifiers, with Google Assistant on Google Home compatibility.

While I do not have any LG connected smart appliances in my house, this new integration with Google Assistant will make me look closer at them next time I purchase an appliance. The Assistant on Google Home can also distinguish one voice from another for personalization.

Taking connected convenience further, LG SmartThinQ learns more about a consumer's usage patterns and helps predict their needs.
