Selena Gomez's Mom Recalls the Horror of Her Daughter's Kidney Transplant

Sharing the now-famous pic of her daughter and BFF Francia Raisa, who donated her kidney to Gomez, Teefey opened her heart to fans in a note that will resonate with any parent who's faced a lifelong illness with their child.

You'll remember earlier this month, we reported Selena Gomez and her boyfriend The Weeknd visited a pet shop and spent the afternoon sat in a puppy pen with King Charles Spaniels in New York City.

Celebrities such as Katy Perry and Chris Massey have taken to social media to commend Selena for her bravery and strength after revealing on Instagram that she had a kidney transplant over the summer.

One of the images that Gomez shared showed her and Raisa holding hands while each on their hospital beds.
